The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him, said:
” Hajj is Arafah.”
” There is no day on which Allah frees as many of His servants from the fire as on the day of Arafah.”
To stay at Arafah is one of the pillars of Hajj. Pilgrims travel to Arafah after sunrise on the ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah and remain there until after sunset.

The sermon of Arafah is delivered by the Imam at the Namirah Mosque.

The Mount of Mercy (”Jabal Rahmah”) is located in the plain of Arafah.
